1. Scope

This policy explains how KYP handles information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy law.

2. Professional contact information

KYP indexes professional licensure and business-contact information — such as a practitioner's name, licence number, regulatory body, and publicly listed business address — that regulators publish for public-interest and professional-communication purposes. PIPEDA's business-contact-information provisions limit how such information is treated when it is collected and used solely to communicate with an individual in relation to their profession. KYP relies on this framework only for genuinely professional, public-record fields, and not for any private personal information. This is our good-faith interpretation; it is not a legal determination, and individuals retain their rights described below.

3. What we do not collect

KYP does not store government identification or licence documents. Identity verification for enhanced members is performed by Stripe Identity on Stripe's infrastructure; KYP receives only a pass/fail result.

4. Your rights: access, correction, removal

You may ask what we hold, request correction so our copy matches the official register, or request permanent removal of your listing at no cost. We respond to verified requests promptly, generally within 48 hours for corrections.

5. Payment data

Subscription billing and card data are handled by Stripe. KYP does not store full card numbers.
